More About Kalapa
Kalapa is a word from Sanskrit that means unit or bundle.
Kalapa is a school, a community, and a curriculum.
Kalapa was founded as an integrated bundle of Best Practices for Changemakers, Evolutionaries, Cultural Creatives, and Positive Change Agents.
Specifically, it's an empowerment curriculum and developmental pathway for Positive Change Agents — defined as people committed to their own growth and development as well as to being part of the solution rather than the problem. In other words, leaving the world a better place than they found it.
We think Positive Change Agents need 5 things: Mindsets, Tools, Skills, Resources, and Community.
The Kalapa Curriculum is comprised of 8 modules, organized along the directions of the compass — North, South, East, West, and the Corners.
Each module is comprised of a Core Competency (something people can get better at) as well as one or more Best Practices (tools, processes, methodologies, or modalities).
Each module also has its own version of the Big 5: Mindsets, Tools, Skills, Resources, and Community.
We produce online educational content, short classes, long courses, and events.
